The device consists of the stimulation unit and the ear electrode that is worn like an earphone. The stimulation unit sends electric impulses through the electrode, which stimulates a branch of the vagus nerve transcutaneously in the auricle.
Treatment with TVNS-L is not an acute treatment. The patient should perform a four hour daily stimulation at least the first months. TVNS-L is indicated from the age of 3 years and above.
Treatment with TVNS-L must be carried out under medical supervision.
